Wood Harbinger served as the Owner's Request for Proposal A/E for electrical consulting
services for this design-build project.
The pier replacement required demolition of the existing Pier D and replacing it with a
new state-of-the art 2000-foot long by 100-foot wide concrete pier and a new 60 MVA - 115 kV,
11.75 kV substation to serve Pier D and the West Yard. The uplands underground electrical
utilities distribution required upgrade changes and rerouting of the existing 12 kV distribution
feeder network, removal of four substations, and retrofit of three substations.
Wood Harbinger also provided the fault current and load flow analysis to the design-build team
to support their final equipment selection.
