We provided the electrical engineering for the site medium voltage distribution and
the pier low voltage distribution systems.
Our work included:
Design of the power distribution system for a portion of the upland system,
including the 15 kV utility service switchgear and site unit substations. This portion
of the design maintains the existing 15 kV system for phasing the new distribution system
into service. Wood Harbinger also completed the design of the low voltage pier distribution
system, fire protection, and associated structural work for Docks K, L, M, and N.
For the Marina, Wood Harbinger developed an innovative shore to dock power feed system
that keeps the cables out of water during high tides. Our solution assembled readily
available products in a new way keeping initial design and construction costs below budget
and simplifying required maintenance. The system has less than a five-year payback.
