Wood Harbinger provided the mechanical engineering predesign, design, energy life cycle cost
analysis (ELCCA), commissioning specifications, and construction administration for this new
162,000 SF high school for 1600 students. The school was a Finalist for the Council of
Educational Facility Planners International 2004 James D. MacConnell Award.
Mechanical systems include natural gas fired, three-pass or four-pass horizontal fire
tube hot water boilers, hot water heating pumps with variable speed drives, aluminum fin
and tube pipe heat recovery unit, compressed air system, and DDC system. Fume hoods and
other laboratory services were provided for six laboratories.
