Wood Harbinger provided the mechanical and electrical engineering design and construction
administration services for the Port of Long Beach's intermodal yard compressed air system.
Two separate compressed air systems for the north and south areas were provided to accommodate charging
and testing of freight train air brake systems. Each system consists of buried compressed air distribution
piping, compressed air connection pits, low point drain pits, and future building and compressed air connection stub-ups.
