Building 850 is a 5-story, 208,552 SF concrete structure built into a hillside with a roof-level
open parking lot.
Our design provided for a wet pipe system in the enclosed building spaces and a dry pipe system for
the ground floor parking area. New addressable devices, a programmable central control panel, and a
fire alarm control valve were part of the fire protection upgrade. The system included new
detection, control, and notification devices, fire alarm control panel, and remote annunciators.
Due to the congested traffic adjacent to the building and extremely limited access, the project
included definition of contractor's laydown, staging, and work areas.
