Missile Spares Storage Building

Strategic Weapons Facility, Pacific - Bangor, WA

The Missile Spares Storage Building (MSSB) is a 31,250 SF warehouse for processing sensitive munitions. The facility provides receipt, storage, staging, issuing of inert missile components, and support of equipment spares. MSSB is of non-combustive construction and incorporates fire, lightning, and security protection systems. Included in the design are management and administrative offices, rack storage area, loading dock, shipping and receiving area, and a bridge crane.

The mechanical design addressed stringent interior conditions for the Missile Component Storage Space (heated, humidified, ventilated, cooled mechanically, and dehumidified).

Electrical design included distribution switchboards to serve present and future electrical loads, Class A fire alarm, audio/visual notification devices, intrusion detection system, and empty conduits and junction boxes for future expansion. More Military Projects.
