Wood Harbinger documented the current systems and is providing the mechanical engineering to expand
and renovate the laboratory. When completed, the remodeled laboratory will occupy 44,000 SF.
The design supports a Lean Healthcare workflow for processing work in the most efficient manner possible
and eliminating waste, variation, and work imbalance.
Mechanical systems include new air handling unit and exhaust fans, fume hoods, plumbing, heating,
medical gas, laboratory hot and cold water, deionized water, steam, chilled water, fire protection,
and direct digital control system.
The phased implementation plan includes relocating in excess of 1,250 pieces of laboratory equipment.
