Wood Harbinger is providing master planning, design services, and electrical services for a new,
stand alone Central Energy Plant that will contain two 40,000 lb/hr boilers, one 20,000 lb/hr boiler,
and room for a future 40,000 lb/hr unit. A new central emergency power generation system is included
in the plant design; at 4.5 MW, this will be able to handle the entire campus emergency load.
This facility will also contain a compressed air system,
spare parts and hazardous material storage areas, conference room, control room, and supervisor’s office.
With a goal set for final completion in December, this project is progressing successfully and has
reached an 80% completion mark. After much preparatory work, the three boilers were positioned and installed.
