As part of our on-call contract with the City of Bellevue, we have provided mechanical engineering consultation for a variety of projects. Recent task orders include:

Highland Community Center and Crossroads Community Center HVAC System Replacements: The City was in need of a building assessment for two existing community centers to evaluate boiler sizing and capacity and assess feasibility for the addition of air conditioning to the gymnasiums. We conducted field investigations to assess the condition of the current HVAC systems, coordinated with the client, owner, vendor, and utilities, and authored a report that included our findings and recommendations for system improvements. We then developed the mechanical system basis of design, produced bid and permit documents, and updated as-built drawings to support long-term maintenance and planning.

Golf Course Clubhouse HVAC Assessment and Design: The municipal golf course clubhouse rooftop air handling unit (RTU) was past its service life and under capacity for cooling load within the clubhouse. The City asked us to evaluate the existing facility HVAC systems and determine the best way to renovate or replace the systems to meet energy code and address the City’s concerns for occupant health and comfort.

We conducted field investigation to assess the condition of the current HVAC systems, coordinated with the client, owner, vendor, and utilities, authored a report including findings and recommendations, and provided mechanical and electrical engineering for schematic design for two options to replace the rooftop air handling unit and add additional cooling capacity.
